New Name. Same Wellness.
The Ritual Continues as Yora
Transformation in Progress
A New Name for Your Alpine Sanctuary
Kananaskis Nordic Spa has spent years welcoming guests to the mountains for the simple ritual of hot, cold and rest. Now it’s growing into something bigger. On October 30, the spa reopens as Yora Nordic Spa Kananaskis, the first of the Yora collection: Nordic spas that turn remarkable natural settings into places to slow down. The name changes. The ritual, the setting and the team guests know do not.
Yora remains proudly Canadian-owned and is growing across North America. Yora Nordic Spa Brownstone is set to open in Portland, Connecticut, this November, and Alyeska Nordic Spa in Girdwood, Alaska, joins the Yora family in early 2027, with more to come.
Yora stands for a new beginning, like fresh rain: rooted in Nordic tradition, connected to nature and designed for every body. It’s a place to disconnect from the everyday and reconnect with yourself, the outdoors and the people you came with.

Spa Expansion Details
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the spa closed October 13–27?
We’re completing the next phase of our expansion, that can’t safely happen while guests are on site. We’ll welcome you back on October 28.
If I had a booking during the closure, what happens?
If you had a booking, you would have received a notification advising of the closure. Your booking has been cancelled, and no charges were made. If you didn’t receive it or would like to rebook, contact our reservations team at 1-833-778-5567 or reservations@knordicspa.com.
Can I still use my gift card?
Yes. Your gift card remains valid when we reopen as Yora Nordic Spa Kananaskis. It doesn’t expire, and all existing Kananaskis Nordic Spa gift cards will be honoured at full value.
What's new when you reopen Oct 28?
Our bathhouse has expanded with more room to unwind. Expect a redesigned lobby, a shop and grab-and-go station, refreshed locker rooms, more showers in the women’s change room, and more massage rooms, so it’s easier to book a treatment.
Have there been changes to the hydrotherapy circuit?
Yes. We’ve added the Forest View Sauna, Cabin Sauna, Cold Cascades, and Calm Cabin, all now open and part of every visit. The Elements Circuit is next.
What is the Elements Circuit?
The Elements Circuit is a journey through heat, cold, sound, light, and nature, designed to awaken the senses and take your relaxation deeper. It builds on our hydrotherapy ritual with experiences you won’t find anywhere else at the spa.
When does the Elements Circuit open?
The Elements Circuit opens in November. Booking details will be shared close to launch.
Will pricing change when the Elements Circuit opens?
No. Hydrotherapy pricing stays the same, and your visit includes everything it does today. The Elements Circuit is an optional add-on, a tranquil space for anyone looking to slow down even further. With limited spots, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss.
Can I book the Elements Circuit for a group?
Yes. The Elements Circuit can be reserved privately during operating hours, making it a premium choice for celebrations, team retreats, or a day with friends. Details are coming soon.
Can I leave the spa during noisy periods and come back?
Our one-time entry policy remains in place during construction.
What safety measures are in place to ensure our comfort and well-being during construction?
To ensure the comfort and well-being of our guests during construction, we’ve implemented several safety measures. These include properly stored construction materials, ear plugs to minimize disruption, and regular updates to keep guests informed.
What if I want to reschedule or cancel my booking due to construction?
Changes and cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to your reservation (hydrotherapy or massage) can be processed online or by contacting our reservations team.
If it is within 24 hours and is due to noise levels classified as level 2 at the spa, our cancellation promise will be waived. Please contact our reservations team at 1-833-778-5567 or via email at reservations@knordicspa.com to avoid any charges.
Please note that our standard 24 hour change and cancellation policy applies during weekends and holidays when construction is taking a spa day.
How do you prioritize sustainability during the construction process?
Sustainability is fundamental to our ethos and shapes our decisions. In line with this commitment, we minimize environmental impact by preserving trees during construction and repurposing any removed trees within our projects, maximizing resource use while reducing waste.
Will regular construction updates be available?
Absolutely. We’re excited about our transformation journey and will share updates here, on social media and through our newsletters. To receive the latest updates, be sure to subscribe.
How far in advance can I book?
Hydrotherapy and massage can be booked up to 3 months ahead. Elements Circuit bookings will open closer to launch, and subscribers will hear first.
