NORDIC SPA TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions of Sale (the “Conditions”) govern the purchase of products and services offered by the Nordic Spa through this website (the “Website”) or by telephone. These Conditions constitute a binding agreement between you (“you”) and Hot Tub with a View LP trading as Kananaskis Nordic Spa (the “Nordic Spa”).
1. Acceptance of Conditions
By placing an order or making a reservation through the Website or by telephone, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Conditions. Purchases are for personal use only and may not be made for resale.
2. Description of Products and Services
The Nordic Spa offers a range of wellness experiences, including hydrotherapy, massage treatments, and select retail products designed to support relaxation and overall wellbeing.
We make every effort to present accurate and up-to-date information across all platforms, including service descriptions, images, and pricing. However, the Nordic Spa does not guarantee that all content is entirely accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free.
The Nordic Spa reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue services, products, or pricing at any time without notice.
3. Planning your visit
To help you fully enjoy your experience, please note that a bathing suit is required. Underwear or other clothing is not permitted in place of swimwear. Towels, a bathrobe, sandals, and a salt scrub cup are provided for your use during your visit. You are welcome to bring a reusable (non-glass) water bottle, and water stations are available on site. Water bottles are also available for purchase. Shampoo, soap, and hair dryers are provided for your comfort.
4. Prices Displayed
All prices are listed in the local currency of the spa location, unless otherwise stated. Rates are subject to change without notice.
The Nordic Spa reserves the right to modify or discontinue any service, or any portion thereof, at any time without notice. The Nordic Spa shall not be held liable for any change in pricing, suspension, or discontinuation of services.
5. Guarantee & Pre-authorization
A valid credit card must be used to guarantee your reservation at the Nordic Spa. The Nordic Spa reserves the right to cancel any reservation made with an invalid credit card.
On the day of a booking, the Nordic Spa requires you to present a valid credit card for the purposes of placing a pre-authorization for the full value of the services or package reserved, plus an additional $50 per guest to cover any on-site purchases (such as bistro or retail). We accept Visa, Mastercard and Amex credit cards.
Upon arrival, you will be issued a unique RFID bracelet to be used by you to make purchases during your visit to the Nordic Spa. At the conclusion of your visit, the pre-authorization will be adjusted automatically to take into account the purchases made on your RFID bracelet during your visit and you will be charged for the actual amount spent. If your pre-authorization is reached during your visit, an additional $50 pre-authorization will be processed automatically on the same credit card.
The RFID bracelet is assigned to the guest and remains the guest’s responsibility at all times. All transactions incurred through the RFID bracelet shall be deemed authorized by the guest unless reported lost or malfunctioning prior to the transaction being completed. The Nordic Spa is not responsible for unauthorized use where reasonable care has not been exercised.
6. Chargebacks
The guest agrees not to initiate chargebacks for properly authorized transactions. In the event of an inappropriate chargeback, the Nordic Spa reserves the right to recover all associated costs, including administrative and legal expenses, to the extent permitted by law.
7. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations or modifications must be made by phone at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Cancellations, modifications, or no-shows made within 24 hours of the appointment will result in a charge equal to 100% of the reserved services or package.
8. Force Majeure
The Nordic Spa will not be responsible for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Conditions or otherwise, which arise out of or is due to unforeseeable events independent of the intention of the parties such as but not limited to force majeure (Force Majeure Events), including by way of example and not of limitation, all events of war, terrorist actions, interventions and prohibitions of official authorities, delays, inclement weather, lack of energy, financial crisis, labour conflicts, epidemic and pandemics.
9. Liability Limitation
All guests are required to review and sign a Hydrotherapy Guest Acknowledgement, Assumption of Risk & Waiver prior to accessing the spa or receiving any treatments. The waiver forms an essential basis of this agreement, and access to services is conditional upon its execution. The guest agrees that the limitations of liability and risk allocation set out in the waiver apply to all interactions with the Nordic Spa, whether occurring on-site, during booking, or otherwise.
Guests who choose not to sign the waiver will not be permitted to access the facilities or services, and no refund or compensation will be issued.
10. Eligibility
Guests must be at least 18 years of age to access the hydrotherapy facilities or receive treatments. A valid government-issued photo ID may be required upon arrival.
11. Refusal of Access & Expulsion
The Nordic Spa reserves the right to refuse access or ask any guest to leave the premises if their behaviour does not align with its Community Agreements, values, or expected standards of conduct.
All interactions, whether on-site or through The Nordic Spa communication channels (including social media), must be carried out in a respectful and courteous manner.
The following behaviours are not tolerated:
- Insulting, threatening, or harassing other guests or employees
- Disruptive or disrespectful conduct that impacts the shared experience
- Any form of discriminatory, hateful, defamatory, indecent, or inappropriate language or behaviour
The Nordic Spa maintains a zero-tolerance approach to any behaviour that compromises the safety, comfort, or wellbeing of others.
12. Collection of Personal Information
Personal information, including health-related information disclosed in intake forms, is collected, used, and disclosed for the following purposes:
- assessing suitability for participation in spa services;
- providing services safely and tailoring treatment;
- responding to medical incidents or emergencies;
- maintaining operational and legal records;
- complying with applicable legal and regulatory requirements;
- internal quality assurance and risk management.
By providing personal information and executing the intake form, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of such information for the purposes identified above. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions; however, this may limit the Nordic Spa’s ability to provide services safely.
Personal information will not be disclosed to third parties except:
- to service providers acting on behalf of the Nordic Spa;
- in emergency situations where disclosure is necessary to protect health or safety;
- where required or permitted by law.
Personal information is retained only as long as necessary for the identified purposes or as required by law. The Nordic Spa implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
You have the right to request access to, and correction of, your personal information, subject to limited exceptions under applicable law.
13. Conformity
To ensure a safe, respectful, and restorative environment, all guests are required to follow the Nordic Spa guidelines and Community Agreements throughout their visit.
These include expectations related to quiet zones, digital disconnection, respectful conduct, and shared space etiquette.
The Nordic Spa reserves the right to limit access to services or ask a guest to leave the premises if these guidelines are not respected.
14. Inclusive Access & Facilities
The Nordic Spa is committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for all guests.
At this time, our facilities include designated men’s and women’s changing areas. Guests are invited to use the space that best aligns with their identity and comfort.
Our team is always available to support individual needs and ensure a comfortable experience. We ask all guests to respect the shared nature of these spaces and the privacy of others at all times. For any specific questions, please contact our team.
15. Gift Cards
a) General
Gift cards purchased from the Nordic Spa are final sale, non-refundable, and not redeemable for cash. All prices are listed in the local currency of the spa location. Gift cards are transferable between Nordic Spa locations within the same country.
b) Validity
Monetary gift cards do not expire. Their value can be used toward any available service or product until the full balance has been redeemed.
c) Purchase Method
Gift cards may be purchased online through the Nordic Spa website or directly on site.
d) Using a gift card
A gift card acts as a method of payment and does not guarantee a reservation. Reservations are required and remain subject to availability and applicable booking policies. For security purposes, gift cards may only be used 48 hours after purchase.
e) Resale & Promotional Use
Gift cards may not be resold. Any unauthorized resale may result in cancellation without refund. Gift cards may not be used for promotional purposes (including contests or giveaways) without prior written authorization from the Nordic Spa.
f) Promotional Gift Cards
Promotional gift cards or certificates may be subject to specific conditions, including expiry dates, usage restrictions, or blackout periods. These conditions will be clearly indicated at the time of issuance and must be respected. Promotional gift cards are redeemable exclusively at the indicated Nordic Spa location.
16. Incorporation with Waiver and Intake Forms
All guests are required to complete and execute a Hydrotherapy Guest Acknowledgement, Assumption of Risk & Waiver and applicable intake forms prior to receiving services. These documents are incorporated by reference into these Conditions and form part of the binding agreement between you and the Nordic Spa.
17. Survival and Severability
Any provisions relating to liability, risk allocation, payment obligations, and privacy shall survive completion of services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
18. Updating of Conditions
The Nordic Spa reserves the right to modify these Conditions at any time by updating this page on the Website. We encourage you to review this page regularly to stay informed of the Conditions in effect. The Conditions applicable at the time of your purchase or reservation will apply and are binding.
